Standard Shipping Timeframes

Once your order is processed and leaves our fulfillment centers, standard delivery timeframes for domestic U.S. orders to the contiguous 48 states are:

Ship dates vary based on inventory availability, order volumes, and processing time after checkout. We process most in-stock orders within 1 business day although extra review may be required for some orders delaying processing which will impact overall delivery estimates.

Keep the above timeframes in mind when placing orders needing arrival by a specific date, such as a birthday or special event. For the fastest processing and delivery prior to occasions, choose Express or Overnight Shipping during checkout.

During peak holiday seasons or special sales events, order volumes may exceed capacity resulting in slightly delayed processing times. Talbots facilitates efficient fulfillment internally while also leveraging external partners allowing flexibility to meet seasonal demands.

Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states plus Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands. Select exclusions may apply for some remote zip codes or addresses requiring special handling.

At this time we do not ship to international destinations or outside the contiguous United States including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories except those noted above. Shipping Rates & Delivery Fees

Talbots offers a range of shipping methods and speeds during checkout to meet diverse delivery needs and budgets.

Ground Shipping is our standard free shipping option on qualifying orders over $99. Allow 5-8 business days for delivery. This method does not include expedited delivery or signature confirmation.

2-Day Shipping guarantees delivery within 2 business days for $15 flat fee rate. No minimum order value needed to select this method. Signature confirmation included.

Overnight Shipping delivers within 1 business day for $25 flat fee rate regardless of order subtotal value. Includes signature confirmation.

No additional taxes, carrier fuel surcharges or other hidden fees apply. The price you see at checkout is your final delivery cost for that shipping method.

Qualifying orders include merchandise purchases only excluding gift cards or packaging/shipping costs. Duty, customs, taxes, brokerage or other border fees may apply for deliveries to Puerto Rico, Guam, and certain remote zip codes. Tracking Your Shipment

Once your order ships with a carrier, you will receive a shipment confirmation email containing your tracking number and link to track status directly on carrier website. Please retain this tracking number and carrier information.

Within email confirmation, click the tracking link or copy number and visit carrier’s tracking page such as UPS.com or USPS.com entering number to view latest scan updates. Transit maps, expected delivery date, current location and other tracking details will populate.

If you do not receive initial shipment confirmation with tracking from Talbots within 2 business days of order being processed, please contact us. We investigate promptly.

Carrier tracking tools offer the most up-to-date information on your package’s journey towards you. Do not hesitate to reach out should you have any other questions or need assistance locating delayed packages.

Signature Confirmation

Talbots includes no-signature-required Ground Shipping on qualifying orders by default allowing drivers to leave packages unattended at delivery address. However, signature confirmation is added automatically for order values over $200 in case driver releases package mistakenly without obtaining release.

You may also choose to add signature confirmation to any orders during checkout for $5 fee regardless of order value. Adult signature will be required upon delivery.

For high-value merchandise, custom or special orders, and most expedited shipping methods, Talbots enables mandatory signature confirmation by default. Adult signature verifying receipt will be necessitated for carriers to release packages to prevent theft or loss.

Please inform us ahead of delivery if you foresee any difficulties obtaining signatures personally or via an authorized individual such as concierge accepting packages on your behalf. Contact Customer Care to add delivery instructions to route through proper channels including mailing rooms, reception desks, or leasing offices if needed.

Loss or Damage During Shipment

Talbots takes precautions to pack, seal, and properly label shipments to avoid damage or loss in transit with carriers. However, occasionally issues may occur externally beyond our control once parcels leave our facilities.

Please thoroughly inspect packages promptly upon delivery before carrier driver departs. If any visible damage to outer box, inner contents, or missing merchandise is evident during unboxing – even if seemingly minor – immediately notify driver to formally document for optimal claim processing. latent damage claims become trickier to pursue later.

Even without external damage, if you receive an order with defective, flawed or inaccurate merchandise contact Talbots Customer Care team promptly within 3 calendar days of receipt. Do not wash, wear, or dispose of any items. We investigate order discrepancies swiftly and make every attempt to remedy misships.

In some cases of damage, loss, or inaccurate shipments we will send replacement items at our cost via rush shipping once internal review completes. Alternatively we can issue refund or credit for impacted goods if preferred. Our goal is resolving issues to your complete satisfaction.

Return Shipping
